Due to gravity and diminished volume, the face is the first part of our body that portrays signs of aging. The Facelift procedure is the ideal way to refresh and rejuvenate your appearance and ensure that your youthful spirit and high energy level are reflected on your facial features.

There are many different variations of facelift to choose; you can select between procedures that smooth the skin of the face and neck, tighten the underlying tissues and muscle and remove excess skin. Ultimately, the facelift will allow you to turn back the hands of time and become a younger version of you.

Also known as “rhytidectomy,” this procedure is in high demand. In fact, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) the number of people choosing it is stably increasing.

Is it the right procedure for me?

Facelift surgery is a highly individualized procedure that can be tailored to your needs. With it you can improve one or more of the following conditions:

  • Loss of well defined jawline and neck
  • Sagging jowls
  • Loose skin
  • Sagging in the midface
  • Deep nasolabial folds (creases from the nose to the corners of the mouth)
  • Loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw that may give the appearance of a “double chin”
  • Creases below eyelids

Types of Facelift

Belgravia Plastic & Orthopedic Medical Centre’s team of experienced Plastic Surgeons, led by Charalambos Lemonas M.D., has performed many facelift procedures on patients from Cyprus and abroad. They offer you the opportunity to reverse the effects of aging with two types of Facelift.

Traditional Facelift:
Also known as a “full facelift,” the traditional facelift rejuvenates the face, jowls, and neck. It includes removal of wrinkles, elimination of loose skin in folds of neck and cheeks, as well as tightening up skin all over the face. With a traditional facelift procedure you can have a smoother and more defined neck, diminished smile lines, smooth cheeks, a strong jaw line and impressive improvements on the eyes and forehead.
Dr. Lemonas has refined these procedures to produce stunning and at the same time natural-looking results. A facelift with us can create an almost miraculous transformation.

Mini Facelift:
Mini facelift is a limited incision technique that focuses on the middle to lower part of the face. If mini facelift is chosen, our surgeons focus on specific target areas and reduce minor sagging around the cheeks, jawline and neck. It’s main difference with traditional facelift is that it does not affect the forehead and the eyes. Mini facelift is a short procedure that requires only local anesthesia. You will be able to return to work after a couple of days!

Before Facelift

Belgravia believes in transparency and takes your health seriously.

During your initial consultation, our team of plastic surgeons describes in detail and discusses in length the facelift procedure with you. We listen to your preferences, evaluate them and ensure that your wishes are compatible with your lifestyle and medical history. It goes without saying that during initial consultation our team of experts will answer every question you might have.

Initial consultation includes topics such as discussion on your desires and expectations, medical conditions and allergies, use of medication, alcohol and tobacco and previous surgeries.

Afterwards, your personal plastic surgeon will evaluate your general health status, discuss the options available to you and the likely outcomes, examine and measure your face and show you before and after photographs of past patients who have undergone the same surgery as the one you want. This way to ensure that you have a complete understanding of the results you will attain.

After the procedure

You are not taking your journey to self confidence, youth and beauty alone. Dr. Lemonas and his team support you 100% before, during and after your procedure. Your preoperative visit takes place one week before surgery and during it we will provide you a handout with specific instructions to follow after the operation. These include postoperative care at home and prescriptions for medications.

The time it takes to recover depends on the procedure and varies between individuals. Generally, patients can return to work about a week after surgery, but they should avoid any strenuous activity or exercise for the first couple of weeks. We make sure that surgery marks will be concealed within the hairline and in the natural contours of the face and ears.

It goes without saying that we design a schedule of follow up appointments to closely monitor your progress and make your recovery fast and easy.
